"We demand the urgent creation of an effective 20mph Zone on Thirsk Road outside ECPS to a design most likely to reduce traffic speeds to 20mph or below.
The 20mph Zone should include speed tables as recommended by the DfT and as shown in plans agreed by Easingwold Town Council in November 2001 or the amended plans sent out to consultation in July 2002 .
A majority of letters in response to that consultation were in favour of the scheme. There is no need for further consultation. Work to create the 20mph Zone should be introduced NOW without further delay."
